一、教学目标:

1. 复习本单元学过的词语及句型

2. 能够用英语描述自己过去常常做的事情;发现在外表、性格、兴趣等方面所发生的变化。 3.情感态度价值观目标:让学生明白事物是在不断发展、变化的道理,培养学生积极向上的心态。 二、教学重难点 1. 教学重点:

1)掌握本课时中出现的描述人外表,性格,兴趣爱好等词汇或短语。2) 学会描述自己过去常常做的事情的基本句型: I used to… ,but now I….

2. 教学难点: How to understand the changes and the expression of “used to” and “now”. 三、教学过程

Step1:lead-in:The teacher broadcast an English song ---Yestertoday Once More。

T: Do you like this song ?Did you use to listen to this song ? Ss:Yes .

T: I used to like to listen to this song, and now I still like it , because it brings me back a lot of sweet memories. I have changed a lot in the last few years. Do you remember what I looked like three years ago? Ss:You used to have long straight hair, but now you have short curly hair. You used to be a little heavy, but now you are much thinner than before….

T: Yes , you are right. You have changed a lot, haven’t you? S1: Yes , I used to …. S2: I used to ….

Step2: Brainstorm: List the words that you know to describe a person.

Appearance: tall, straight hair, short, of medium height, straight/curly hair, long/short hair, heavy, thin, of medium built …

Personality: otgoing, shy, funny, serious, cute, quiet, kind, brave, friendly, active

Step3:Show four different pictures of some famous people. Talk about their differences. 1.zhaowei:

She used to have straight hair , but now she has curly hair. 2.Xiaoshenyang :

He didn’t use to wear glasses, but now he wears glasses. 3.Zhou Jielong:

He used to be shy, but now he is smart 4.Xie Tingfeng:

3.适当运用重点句型结构。

4. 适当运用 一些连词,如:and, but等。 Step8:自改和互改

1.写完作文,首先大声朗读自己的作文,发现拼写和语法错误,自己在旁边修改,直到自己找不出错误为止

2.四人为一小组,相互交换自己的作文,互相修改。如有问题可以四人商量一起解决。 Step9:佳作分享
