my definition of success

I firmly believe that perseverance is the most important element of success for failure is the mother of success.One commonly heard story is that Edison performed more than10,000 experiments while working on the iron storage battery.Edison followed almost every unsuccessful venture with a successful idea.There is no such a genius who can make through feats without trying for over thousands of times,let alone ordinary people.

However, perseverance is not enough.Thus,I believe that a good understanding of ourselves and our goals is another fact to success.We have learned since primary school that we can never get the right answer with a wrong calculation method when doing maths homework.Though sometimes we may not get on the right way at the first time, we should always be sober and make a wise choice. Perseverance does not mean obstinacy. When it comes to the importance of knowing ourselves, a proper understanding not only fills us with much happiness, and calmness but also improves our mindset, as well as our relationships with others.Knowing ourselves consequently, empowers and enables us to create different ideas as well.

Last but not least, Success easily comes to those with pleasing personalities. Inner beauty is as important as external success.Recently I have read from newspaper an unpleasant incident about a well-know singer.She is very charming with a sweet voice . Once she was invited to give performance. The moment she was arranged to appear on the stage, she suddenly asked for more reward.Worse still, after satisfying her request.she took her time to count all her money piece by piece instead of singing at once. Almost half an hour later, she showed up on the stage,and started to sing the song which made her famous.Suddenly, a man rose up from his seat and shouted at her'' How can you treat us in this way!go away!\" Hearing this,the singer stopped singing and began shouting abuses with her finger pointing to the man.At this time ,all the audience burst into uproar.

Actually,the singer has been famous for her charming appearance and voice. But her behavior just let all her fans down. She will no longer be as successful as before.
