4. FIRST AID MEASURES
INHALATION: SKIN CONTACT: EYE CONTACT:
If overcome by high dust concentrations, remove to a ventilated area.
Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Do not scrub, since the abrasion may cause irritation.
Flush eyes thoroughly with water, taking care to rinse under eyelids. If irritation persists, continue flushing for 15 minutes, rinsing from time to time under eyelids. If discomfort
continues, consult a physician. Do not rub, since abrasion and damage to the cornea may occur. Not applicable
INGESTION:
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Combustible.
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA:
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS:
Material safety data sheet
Moderate fire hazard if exposed to heat, fire or strong oxidising agents. Extinguishing media: dry chemical, water mist. In case of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus and fire-resistant clothing.
If heated to decomposition, emits carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Avoid spreading dust. Avoid contaminating surface water, waterways or sewers leading to surface water. Collect and place in clearly-identified appropriate containers. Use methods which do not result in environmental contamination. Recycle if possible.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS: STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Avoid generating dust during handling. Coke dust is electrically conductive and can cause short circuits. Equipment must be grounded.
Store away from oxidising agents. Ensure that airborne dust is not generated during storage.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Provide general and local ventilation to maintain concentrations of air contaminants below recommended standards. Wear eye and respiratory protection (goggles and mask), or a full-face respirator if necessary. Wear gloves.
